thanks, mushar-fuck.

closing out the year, musharraf made sure to put an end to his one political nemesis, benazir bhutto, one of the most widely respected politicicans in the world. she'd lived in exile for years because of this crazy fuck, then returned recently to pakistan after brokering with musharraf to return there in a power-sharing deal. of course, ON THE WAY TO HER HOME, having just touched down in pakistan after twelve years away, her convoy was bombed, leaving 138 people dead. musharraf then quickly placed her under house arrest before promptly declaring a state of emergency. i hope the world forces this guy to face his just due. fuck you musharraf, for robbing the world of her. i don't want to hear your empty condolences and promises to 'bring the killers to justice.' in one of her final public statements, while critcizing efforts to find the perpetrators of her failed assasination in october, she had the moral fiber and fortitude to grant mushar-fuck a pass on any culpability in the attack. evidently, that just wasn't enough for him, and he had to see the job through.

Yeah did u see Musharaf's little speech? He did not seem too sincere. I wonder how safe Sharif is. I wonder how anybody can go about changing the mindset of the muslim extremists in the region. somebody made a comment on NPR that ~50% of pakistanis are illiterate. Can U imagine what the world would be like if Pakistan -with all their nukes-became a taliban style state right next to Afghanistan next door to Iraq.

damn straight, august. sharif's already shaking in his kicks. he's called for a boycott, though it seems like there's no way this thing would have legitimately taken place anyways. i heard condi calling for the elections to continue as planned, which i cannot for the life of me understand. dude, this is a major world crisis right now, and they think that simply pakistani democracy's in danger? that whole region would go to crap if that nation became a taliban state.
